Wendy Muse

Adaptable, knowledgeable, creative, motivating, enthusiastic, savvy — these are all words used to describe Wendy Muse. Remarkably adept at motivating teams from the front lines and quantifying her people-centric approach, Wendy is a consummate professional and a dynamic speaker. She provides a complete training and marketing solution through her expertise in marketing, education, performance, and systems implementation, and is a sought-after national speaker, consultant, and educator. Flexible and adaptable to changes in the marketplace, Wendy works directly with the owner/management company to stabilize assets, offering a pay-for-performance approach for lease-ups and other custom programs for existing assets. Her analysis of the asset, personnel, marketing strategies and market conditions allow her to build a fully customized program consistent with the owner's or management company's objectives. Wendy provides innovative and engaging training programs and strategic organizational initiatives, power-packed with ideas that can be implemented today. Throughout Wendy's twenty years of industry experience, she has excelled in leadership, shown by the fact that ten of those years were spent at the director or vice-president level. Believing strongly that employees are the foundation of a company's success, she enthusiastically shares her passion and expertise in a variety of settings and roles.

As the Vice President of Education and Marketing for Tarragon Corporation, Wendy designed and implemented Tarragon University, the cornerstone of Tarragon's training for all employees within the property management division. The long-term success of Tarragon University and its bottom-line results earned her a promotion in 2007 to strategically align marketing efforts within Tarragon's Homebuilding and Investment divisions. In this role, Wendy was responsible for curricula development and implementation of education and marketing programs. Professional and sincere in her approach, Wendy makes the learning process comfortable and enjoyable, and she has developed a reputation for her ease in transferring learning into practical application. She also developed Tarragon's Ambassadors Leadership Program and Tarragon Graphics Group, while simultaneously supporting four departments over 40 properties.

A current member of American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), the National Apartment Association (NAAEI), and the ROI network, Wendy is ASTD-certified in Measuring and Evaluating Learning, Facilitation Organizational Change, Human Performance Improvement and ROI Basics. Further certifications include: Training Generalist and Training Manager/Director certifications with Langevin Learning Services and Fundamentals of Managing Training certification with Training Magazine.

 


Brandi Barber Bailey

Creative director, marketer, and multifamily expert, Brandi has committed the last thirteen years of her career to energizing real estate developments from a visual perspective. With an exceptional gift for bringing synergy and collaboration to the design process, she has successfully helped owners develop and market everything from new construction projects to distressed assets ripe for reposition in major markets including Washington DC, Charlotte, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Nashville, Hoboken and Bergen County in New Jersey, and extensively throughout Connecticut. Brandi excels at developing outreach marketing and advertising plans for new and existing properties and developing training curricula for on-site teams based on quantifiable decision making and best practices in property management.

Brandi proudly earned both a Bachelor of Science in Housing, Interior Design, and Resource Management with a concentration in Residential Property Management and most recently a Master's degree in Housing from Virginia Tech. She began her career in the Washington, DC market at Avalon Properties (now Avalon Bay) and was then hired as a marketing and development consultant with Bravo Strategic Marketing under industry expert Jennifer Nevitt Casey. Brandi became a founding member of YieldStar Technology, a yield management software for the apartment industry. There she served dual roles as Director of Marketing and Director of Product Content, responsible for training large companies such as AMLI Residential and Camden Property Trust on best practices in pricing and yield management.

In 2002, Brandi handed the reigns over to her entrepreneurial spirit and launched Brio Consulting, Inc. at age 26. Since its inception she has worked with multiple owners and developers to effectively market and position their properties, streamline their product design, and turnaround under-performing assets.

Over the past nine years, Brandi has served the role of creative director and consultant for Tarragon Corporation (now Beachwold Residential), a Manhattan-based real estate development company. She simultaneously acts as a marketing strategist over their growing twenty-eight property investment portfolio, and produces creative art and content for clients in multiple markets nationwide. A partnership with Muse, a Dallas-based training and promotional marketing company, is her exciting, next venture. Brandi's unique talent and experience helps Muse bring creative products and education programs to the multifamily industry.

Brandi's joy is giving back time to the students of Virginia Tech, where she serves as a student coordinator and teaches several career development classes each semester for the Residential Property Management program.

 

 

Tonya Williams

Tonya Williams joins Muse after sixteen years in the multi-family industry. Having worked her way thru the ranks, Tonya held positions as Leasing Consultant, Assistant Property Manager, Property Manager, and Area Property Manager before transitioning into the Training and Support Role. Tonya joined Tarragon in 2004 as a Training and Support Specialist. While serving in this role, Tonya was responsible for one-on-one training of new and advancing employees at the site level. Tonya trained leasing and sales techniques, policy and procedure and property management software.

In addition to her training duties, Tonya was an integral part of the take-over team from the initial due diligence to the installation of property management software. Tonya was involved with the development of Customer Care Programs and Leasing T.A.S.K. Force. Choosing the most accomplished leasing consultants in the company and mentoring them to Teach Accelerated Sales Knowledge.

Tonya has demonstrated an expertise in relationship building which enables her to be a dynamic leasing/sales person. This same expertise is an invaluable tool for her sales training and mentoring. Tonya's vast customer service knowledge and experience are the driving force behind her approach for developing and implementing strategies that will not only close the sale but allow companies to close the back door. This approach increases the ROI for both marketing and training dollars spent.

Tonya recognizes both the individuality and the differences from subtle to distinct in each organization. She enjoys the challenges that arise and does not take on a new project with a cookie cutter mind set. She has a talent for embracing the energy presented, working within it and tweaking it when necessary to foster a spirit of team work. With a can-do attitude and a sweet southern smile, Tonya will take on any challenge and inspire those around her to do the same.
